Thank you so much for this critique, and in general, for the effort you put in all of them :P.

During these exercises I noticed that the problem was not that I didn't look that much at the reference, but I struggle a lot maintaining the mental image tridimensional and drawing at the same time, specially when the thing gets foreshortened. It took me like 10 min to figure out the three mayor masses of the tiger and still... oof.

Pushing myself to visualize better but less has provoked my proportions to go quite poor, but I guess it's better in terms of drawabox ?

Lost the reference of the scorpion, but can say that the right legs were barely visible so I had to make some weird guesses.

    Shadows still hurt :')

I honestly thought that those first exercises came out poorly because while doing them I wasn't really focused, but even focused, ghosting, and pushing myself to draw them bigger... ooooof...

Little question... If I'd really want to improve my feeling of form and line quality during this summer, could spending 1h-2h of new + old random DaB homework be a good approach ?

Thank you so much for the observations and advices! The amount of problems that I personally observed during the "challenge" really made me start to think that I was going to have to continue working on these things xP. My warmups consisted on some random exercises chosen from L1, guess I should add making some boxes to them (following ur advices ofc) ? or should maybe practice appart from the warmup ? Thanks again for all the help

and sorry for my non-native english xd

Staedtler Pigment Liners

These are what I use when doing these exercises. They usually run somewhere in the middle of the price/quality range, and are often sold in sets of different line weights - remember that for the Drawabox lessons, we only really use the 0.5s, so try and find sets that sell only one size.

Alternatively, if at all possible, going to an art supply store and buying the pens in person is often better because they'll generally sell them individually and allow you to test them out before you buy (to weed out any duds).
